PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Okay everyone?this is a very serious situation and as a community we need to address this promptly and act swiftly. We have all experienced this in some way or in some form.  The New England Journal of Medicine called it the worst crisis since the Great Depression that nobody knows of. The Journal of American Medicine Association (JAMA) proclaimed, it has led to severe rage temper tantrums, dodging, and even death? you heard it, even DEATH.  What is this crisis I speak of? It is called CSLS ? Chronic severe lag syndrome, and it?s a serious problem within are very own ZC community. A growing trend in ZCL games and one of my more recent games was a victim to this (Can you find who suffers from CSLS?)?. It consisted of Brat, Atetanka, falconraiden, Ewie(fhw, Killer and of course me. 

As with most people with CSLS, the games start off perfectly fine and you find yourself engaged in hilarious/funny early game conversation. You build your little buildings without a care in the world and make your cute little workers? but like a serpent from the dark abyss, it rears its ugly head and it has no intentions of leaving you, LAG.  In my particular game the lag was so atrocious that everything became stop and go and I seriously thought I was transported back in time to 1993. One player even asked to leave, but due to the competitive nature of some players (cough, cough Atetanka), that would resort in a dodge.  As the game continued to grow even more disgusting and unplayable? I found myself with 3 choices - 1) Leave the game and and take a dodge - 2) I often keep a metal nail file on my desk as I like to keep my nails maintained; use that to stab myself in the neck due to overwhelming frustration,  and 3) Take a handful of my left over painkillers (vicodin) from surgery. I decided with option 3 as the ever increasing lag caused me pain? it only made sense to ease it with painkillers; I took 6.

Well now that we are all caught up on CSLS - I asked around on how this can be cured or is it even possible to be cured? I ended up asking Doctors in the field of Lag-ology, their responses shocked and confused me. I was told there was a cure and was stunned by their answer.  Apparently they said, people who suffer from this grave illness, often steal their internet from unsuspecting neighbors or simply refuse to upgrade their service package.  Needless to say, I was taking back by this? so many games and lives have been destroyed over this and the solution was so simple and right in front of my face. How could this be?

So I?m asking the ZC community to band together and to start a foundation/charity to stop this in its track. You might think your safe with your high speed connection? but it only takes 1 out of the 6 players to end your hopes of a smooth sailing game, so remember that.

Please feel free to leave your experiences with CSLS - Chronic severe lag syndrome in the post. Do you suffer from this or have you been a victim of a person who has this? Do you know someone who has CSLS but they REFUSED to get help and you want to set up an intervention? Is there a quarter machine connected to your modem, in which you need to feed it every 30 minutes to an hour? Whatever your situation is, or whatever your reasons may be, remember you are not alone and there are people willing to help you!!!
