I downloaded the unzip program win rar and extracted chaos from it I had problems just extracting chaos in the regular unzip program so WinRAR is what finally worked

Not sure if you have solved your obs mode problem.

I strongly suggest using Adv. Loader obs mode over the chaos version (glitchy). You will still use the chaos launcher as with its plugins (apm, timer, etc). All you need to do is download Adv. loader, install it, let it update, and close the program. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO REOPEN ADV LOADER AGAIN FOR USE.

Open chaos launcher and look at the plugins. You should notice you now have 6 more plugins, including an obs mode.  You will also notice advBNet, APM Live and rep with txt - make sure they are UNCHECKED, since you are using the chaos timer and its own plugins. The Adv. loader timer does not accurately portray the correct time? I don?t think it factors in lags and other delays.

Stat info and hot key selector are optional? I left them on. When you obs or watch replay, stat info is really nice and can only enhance your viewing pleasure.  Hot key selector is for when you watch a rep by yourself, you can see hot keys of players by clicking on the player and pressing 0-9, if they hot keyed it will correspond to the object(s).

1)   Download Adv. loader
2)   Install it ? auto update ? close it (Never have to reopen or use again)
3)   Open Chaos and set your plugins
4)   Enjoy obsing

Side Note: Only reason I don?t use the chaos obs mode anymore is because it would randomly drop me when I was obs as soon as I clicked on a player to see their info. It wasn?t often, but happened enough for me to find an alternative method. I know some other players experienced the same thing too. Also the Adv. Loader obs mode is slightly more refined.

Okay some people asked me about the stats mode. This is what it looks like. There are two modes to it ? economic and army mode.  All you have to do is press Ctrl-i to activate it? if you look at the plugin it actually will tell you all the hotkeys to show you what is what. This is a nice tool if you want to know exactly what a player has? buildings, units (wraiths, guards, goons, etc).


The below example is of Kyu, who has a high psi toss base at 8:01, you can see he goes a high number of temps and Zealots. Might be good for people who want to see how many scvs a person makes to complete their base... or whatever.  Just another simple feature that when activated it will slide on your screen and slide off (when deactivate - just his ctrl-i again), as you probably don?t want to watch the whole game with it on.


Also you will notice that the left side conflicts with the APM? so I usually just shift through players only using the right. If you don't mind the clutter on the right side you can have it show two different players - good comparison for base/units.

Works only in OBS and replays!!! NOT FOR PLAYERS IN GAMES

APM LIVE should be unchecked!!! < ------- This is the adv. loader timer and APM tool. You don't want this one. Keep APM Alert 1.16.1 ON as this is the chaos version and working timer.

Adv BNET should be unchecked!!!

Rep with Txt should be unchecked!!!
