torment and cholas were from east BW! They introduced me and Byu1 to ZCT.

With that amount of players who were already at a high skill level, it wasn't very hard to become really good at all.  That's what I probably miss the most during the later ZCT days.

Why do ppl overrate frank so much?? He was average at best... Not impressive at ALL and I played bw more than most.. Not even close better than tc surya I could list so many people better than frank... Atleast the time I saw him??? Not very good...

Frank was better than tC + sonywega. I'm sure that maybe like 3-4 people on here even played with sony in his prime and he seriously rivaled tC as best in prime.

I've never seen anyone play as well as Frank. Micro'ing, only Uncas can micro as well him.

Surya is top 5 easily for sure, I just think Frank was better.

never even heard of sonywega. what a dumb name. and this was all a while ago. zc so much different now. frank was always average at best when i saw him.. i wanna see rep of him in his prime. imo nobody compares to surya/say. i watch old school reps i dont see anything impressive honest and its all old old old games.. building asap maxing.. surya/sae/arie/yan the best zcers i ever seen and can beat anyone easily imo...

I don't know anything about dark-fire I just heard he was as good as uncas at his prime regarding micro-ing and unit control.

I remember torm was from op tix (correct me if im wrong) because I was in a bf vs bw game before which BF lost..

Sony (wayne) who I knew personally since we lived in same city (Wpg) was top dog with korean in EAST and along with romper represented EAST as best of the east against West players.  tC during EARLY 2003/2004 was not as nearly as good as sonywega/korean[bf] until 2005-2006 since tC consistently gamed day in and day out.

Given the circumstances and level of gameplay at that time, of course the gameplay/strats would be different but for them to utilize and dominate games with what they knew back then should be taken into consideration.

Your logic fails. Their game play back then was much better. 85% of people now can't play a mid game. They rely solely on rc and even then they are terrible at it. Game play does not change, strategies do. An emp back then is an emp now, guards were guards, etc. So many people have trouble massing with Zerg now. They can't play terran. They can't play mid game as toss. Plain and simple. The only "old" players playing now are Pr1me, Megix, and Mast. Guess what? They're still top 10 of players right now. Wolf played 2 games last night and he was definitely rusty as hell, but still better than anyone in goa.
