ZC UMS - Start From Bases Already Made Idea

I'm wondering if this is possible. Perhaps those skillful at map making like Jon can help out on this. I'm thinking if we can have a ZC UMS where the PTZ bases are already made and everyone has an average amount of psi. Making bases repetitiously is time consuming and the most boring part of this game. I think gameplay is where people REALLY shine, not bases.

If you didn't get what I'm trying to say, I mean that when we start the UMS game, bases are already made and we just start playing. Should this count for ZCL standings? I don't think there would be a problem.

So could this happen? Do you folks even support it?

Nein. Building is directly related to gameplay. Ability to mass b/c lates (or lack of), and it also determines a slow or fast mm, which again affects gameplay.

Most people have lates these days, and just because you have lates, doesn't mean you can mass either. And I don't see why there couldnt be lates put in to the UMS map either, lates should be fine.

A vast majority of games are not won solely based on how the team made their buildings but rather the use of magic, massing capacity, and awareness.

This would never work. People are accustomed to their own bases. Everyone puts their late starports, robotics, barracks etc. in different places. Some people have high psi at mm and a small base, some people have low psi at mm and a large base. Some people make 7 arbs pre-mm, some make 4, etc. Can probably name 30 more examples of why this would never work. Just because your build sucks doesn't mean you need to come up with a stupid idea.

I like my build, I just hate building. Im sure some would agree to that. Most players have the same build with 6 arbs, a few ghosts and vessels for terran, and larvae enough for 4 sets. I understand your point Sherri, i just think the pros outweigh the cons you have mentioned.

Pros being able to game instantly after melee is made. Does anyone realize how awesome that would be? The frustrations of games dropping, people dodging, uneven teams, having to go soon -- and 50 other more pros of doing this, outweigh the cons.
