What motivated you to become as good as you are now?

I'd like to hear from everone what made everyone as good as they are now and what they did to become as good.  What did you guys do to accomplish the level you're at now? ZC stories are always interesting esspecially since there is so much in the past and present to talk about now.  Please share!
