Running no cd provided by Blizz with digital key. I email those idiots and I keep getting a generated response and not actual help.

A) Did you actually INSTALL the blizz provided files? B) Or are you just using the CD key that they provided when you bought the electronic version off of their website?

If A) Something went wrong in the installation, or some system files were possibly left behind from your old SC CD version. Uninstall EVERYTHING (You can make a copy of your maps folder with all your replays and downloaded maps into a separate folder first so that you don't lose them all), then reinstall FROM THE SETUP.EXE THAT IS PROVIDED FROM THE BLIZZARD WEBSITE.

B) The files that are installed on your computer from the store-bought CD are different than the ones that are included in the electronic download. Even if you are using the electronic registration key, the game may still be trying to get onto battle.net with your old cd key... which could have been compromised and thus no longer works on battle.net. The game will run with almost ANY combination of 12 numbers... but you can only get online with a non-compromised key. There are ways to manually go into the game files and "replace" the key... but it is MUCH easier and less time consuming to just uninstall and reinstall FROM THE DOWNLOADED SETUP.EXE FILE.

Bought and dl'd directly from Blizz site.

Thank you Moe + Tech, that did the trick. Forgot to mention I'm running Windows 7 -_-
